I painted this specifically for The Gaslight Anthem’s debut album Sink or Swim. Having know Benny for years, and doing most of the art for his and Alex’s last band The Killing Gift, they just kinda trusted me to come up with something cool. It was a little bit of a rush job. The painting it is huge and heavy and is now owned by Benny.

Many moons ago, I designed the CD for the band The Killing Gift. They pretty much let me do what I wanted so, I did some paintings and illustrations and put the whole thing together in a nice package. This is the painting for the cover. I don’t know the exact size, but it’s huge. They broke up right around the time this was released and Benny and Alex went on to join The Gaslight Anthem (I painted the cover for their debut album too). I think I gave Benny the painting.
