I painted this specifically for The Gaslight Anthem’s debut album Sink or Swim. Having know Benny for years, and doing most of the art for his and Alex’s last band The Killing Gift, they just kinda trusted me to come up with something cool. It was a little bit of a rush job. The painting it is huge and heavy and is now owned by Benny.

Would be really cool if you could elaborate on this a bit more, like what are the stacks on the far right?

I knew the title of the album and my idea was just having waves breaking against a cityscape. I kept it a little abstract and weird. Looking at it now, I wish I had more time to spend on it. It was a bit of a rushed job.
